Support your volunteer to log in and complete their declarations.
All new Young Leaders must be registered with the District so we can ensure safeguarding, training, and insurance cover are in place.
Once registered, the District will confirm placement within a section and provide details of the support available through the Explorer Scout section or Young Leader Unit.
If a Young Person is already an explorer, please still complete the form, and the 14-25 Lead will arrange the next steps, including sharing their OSM Record with you.
This module is mandatory for all Young Leaders, and they must complete it within 30 days of joining.
Before taking part in any section nights or activities, every Young Leader must complete Module A: Prepare for Take Off.
Once completed, issue the Young Leader with a copy of the Orange Card (Young People First – Code of Practice for Young Leaders).
This card should be carried at all times when volunteering, and Leaders should reinforce its guidance during meetings and activities.
