Squirrels offers the best of Scouts – learning by doing and getting into the great outdoors – combined with early years best practice of storytelling, routine, and play. It’s a huge leap forward for us: our first new age range in 35 years. And it is a key part of our response to the challenges facing young people.

We can’t wait to open more Squirrel Dreys across the district, enabling us to deliver Skills for Life to more Young People, at the age where it makes the biggest impact.

It was great to see young people from all across the district having such an amazing time getting back on the water. We can’t wait to run more events now we’re in green status, and catch up on all those badges that we’d normally work on Face-to-Face that we haven’t been able to for the past year!
